Environmental impact

Throughout a menstrual cycle, a woman uses approximately 5 menstrual pads per day, which is equivalent to a total of approximately 25 menstrual pads each a month. Over the course of a year, each person produces 65kg of waste in pads alone – each taking approximately 500 years to decompose.

The same could be said of disposable products used for postpartum, incontinence, perimenopause, or the daily pads or pantyliners that become part of everyday life.

To combat these figures and reduce waste, we created reusable and sustainable absorbent underwear that last approximately 3 years.

We seek to reduce the degradation of the earth taking into account our impact from the early stages until it reaches your hands. For this reason, our intention from the beginning was to use Peruvian fabrics and make the production in Peru to reduce the impact of transportation and to help our Peruvian community.
